Army Train A different train leaving the Zhangjiakou station loaded up with Chinese military trucks. Notice that some trucks are half on one car and half on the next. They really pack them in to save space.

Men in Boxcar The same train is also loaded up with Chinese army personnel traveling in boxcars. They excitedly wave to me shouting "Hallo".

Girls on Train Some of the group of 20 female geography majors from Shanghai's Huadong Normal University that I hung out with on the forty-hour train trip from Kunming to Hangzhou. They were returning from a Yunnan field trip.
